On September 8 Nvidia introduced CUDA Rust — two open-source projects (cuda-oxide and cutile-rs) that compile Rust directly to PTX without wrappers over nvcc. cuda-oxide offers a SIMT model with compile-time race checking, while cutile-rs runs on stable Rust 1.89+ and is already used in Hugging Face's Grout and mistral.rs engines.

Google has opened the Notebooks in Gemini feature for corporate and educational Workspace accounts.
