Linux Foundation launches BUILD Foundation to fund the Bazel ecosystem

The Linux Foundation announced the operational launch of the BUILD Foundation, a directed fund to sustain the Bazel build ecosystem. Six founding members — ASML, Canva, Datadog, EngFlow, Figma and Spotify — will fund documentation, maintainers of bazel-contrib rulesets, training, IDE integration and release attestations in the Bazel Central Registry. Google retains governance of Bazel's core.
