Microsoft permanently removes WMIC from Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2

Since August 2026, the WMIC utility has been removed from Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, and the Feature on Demand option is no longer available. The tool, introduced in Windows XP, was used in many scripts; PowerShell is the replacement.
