Windows 11 emergency update still breaks audio, fix may wait until October

Microsoft confirmed that the emergency KB5129195 update for Windows 11 still breaks audio on some PCs and disrupts domain trust on enterprise machines. A fix is not expected before Patch Tuesday on October 13, 2026.

• KB5129195 shipped on September 14 and fixed RDP and Claude Cowork issues
• The patch moves Windows 11 25H2 to build 26200.9457 and 24H2 to 26100.9457
• USB audio devices are affected, showing error "This device cannot start (Code 10)"
• AMD users also report driver timeouts and black screens after the update
