WhatsApp Now Lets Anyone Join Calls, No Account Needed

WhatsApp launched guest calling, letting anyone invited via a link join a voice or video call without a WhatsApp account. Guests wait in a lobby until the host admits them, cannot see other participants' phone numbers or send messages, and can be removed at any time. Calls support up to 32 people, work from a browser, and calendar integrations for Google and Outlook are planned for later this year.
