ModRetro and OpenAI partner to let anyone build Chromatic games

ModRetro announced a partnership with OpenAI to create games for its Chromatic handheld using OpenAI's Codex Game Studio. Sam Altman revealed the collaboration at DevDay 2026, with FlapGPT, PizzaDash and Seedy's Sweet Garden already playable in a browser or as downloadable ROMs.
