SiPearl and Quobly to Pair European CPU With Silicon Spin Qubits
SiPearl and Quobly signed a memorandum of understanding to build a hybrid HPC-quantum system combining the Rhea1 server CPU with a silicon spin-qubit processor. The partners also aim to secure a share of €119 million in European quantum funding, with applications closing in November.
- Rhea1 packs 80 Arm Neoverse V1 cores, 61 billion transistors, HBM2E and DDR5
- Quobly fabricates qubits on STMicroelectronics' commercial 300mm line
- The study must bridge the millikelvin-to-ambient temperature gap
- Applications for €119 million in European quantum funding close in November
