Schneider Electric launches world's first fully software-defined MV switchgear
Schneider Electric unveiled what it calls the world's first fully software-defined medium-voltage switchgear, aimed at faster deployment of power infrastructure for AI data centers. The system was piloted with Equinix in a live colocation data center and promises up to 3x faster ordering and manufacturing and 2x faster commissioning. Broader availability is planned for 2028.
