Medusa subsea cable expands to Jordan via NaiTel partnership

AFR-IX Telecom's Medusa subsea cable system is extending to Jordan through a strategic agreement with NaiTel and Aqaba Digital Hub. The deal links Medusa to NaiTel's 15km Coral Bridge cable, creating a direct route from Aqaba to Europe and the wider Middle East.

• Medusa will connect to Coral Bridge, a 15km Jordan-Egypt cable with 48 fiber pairs
• Medusa will take colocation capacity at the 12MW Aqaba Digital Hub data center
• The full 8,700 km Medusa system will span 19 landing sites
• Medusa's first segment went live in June, linking France and Tunisia
