Meta plans first petabit-per-second subsea cable between US and France
Meta is partnering with NEC and Sumitomo Electric to build Petal, a 7,000 km subsea cable linking the US and France, with Orange coordinating the French landing. Its capacity will be more than double that of today's fastest transoceanic cables.
