Tesla Semi wins 2,500-truck order, doubling US electric Class 8 fleet

Shipper alliance ZET SCALE placed the largest electric Class 8 order in US history: 2,500 battery-electric trucks, nearly doubling the US fleet. Tesla was named primary supplier, with Kenworth, Volvo and RIDE as secondary; the alliance targets over 10,000 trucks.
