Volkswagen Group picks NXP S32K5 MCUs for next-gen SDV architecture

Volkswagen Group has expanded its partnership with NXP Semiconductors, selecting the S32K5 microcontrollers as the core of its zonal software-defined vehicle architecture developed by the RV Tech joint venture with Rivian. The first vehicle on the new architecture is scheduled for 2027.
