VSMC opens its first 300 mm fab in Singapore

VSMC, the joint venture of Vanguard International Semiconductor and NXP Semiconductors, has opened its first 300 mm fab in Tampines, Singapore. Construction took 22 months, the first sample lot achieved yields above 99%, and volume production is scheduled for Q1 2027. The fab will run 130 nm to 40 nm processes for mixed-signal, power management, analog and interposer applications.
