TSMC Accelerates Four 1.4nm Fabs; Wafers to Cost Around $35,000

TSMC is accelerating construction of four 1.4nm production plants at the Central Taiwan Science Park, targeting full operation by Q2 2028. A report pegs 1.4nm wafers at about $35,000 each, only roughly $2,000 more than 2nm wafers at $33,000, well below earlier rumors of $45,000.
