Armenia to launch biometric passports and IDs in early November

Armenia will roll out a new biometric passport and identity card system in early November as part of reforms tied to the EU Visa Liberalization Action Plan. Pre-registration opens October 31 via the Migration and Citizenship Service and HayPass, a public-private partnership involving Idemia and A.C.I. Technology. Armenia targets visa-free travel with the EU by 2029.
