Armenia targets visa-free EU travel by 2029 with biometric ID overhaul

Armenia aims to complete reforms under its EU visa liberalization action plan by 2029, with a new biometric identification system launching November 1. ID cards will cost 5,950 drams (~$15) and passports 28,650 drams (~$74), with issuance starting in the second half of 2026.
