Gemini for Android gets redesigned side panel and unified settings

Google rolled out a server-side update for the Gemini Android app that redesigns the side panel and consolidates all preferences onto a single settings page. The layout first appeared on iOS, macOS and the web alongside Gemini 4 Argon.

• Search moved to the top-right corner, Library sits under the New Chat button
• The drawer shows the five most recent chats with a button to expand the rest
• Paid AI Ultra tiers get shortcuts to image generation, scheduled tasks and Gems
• All settings now live on one page; the update needs no app store download
