Gemini 'Task' redesign folds Spark into the main chat app

Google has merged its Spark personal agent into the main Gemini chat experience, adding Chat and Task buttons above the prompt box and dropping the Spark branding from the navigation drawer. The change is rolling out server-side on Android and requires an AI Pro or AI Ultra subscription.

• Chat and Task buttons now sit above the prompt box, with Task being Gemini Spark
• A new Scheduled page organizes tasks as Active, Paused, Completed and Suggested
• Chat history and Spark tasks are combined into one feed with All, Ready, Needs attention and In progress filters
• Rollout is server-side on Android; iOS and web do not have it yet
