Windows 11 gets a built-in internet speed test instead of a Bing shortcut

Microsoft is testing a built-in internet speed test in Windows 11 that shows results directly in Quick Settings without opening a browser. The feature is rolling out to Windows Insiders in the Experimental channel with Build 26340.9767. The previous speed test option was just a shortcut that opened Bing.

• Test launches from Quick Settings, the Wi-Fi/Cellular flyout, or by right-clicking the network icon
• Shows download speed, upload speed, and ping without opening a browser
• Available in Build 26340.9767 for Experimental channel Insiders
