Audi becomes first automaker with native Spotify app

Audi is the first automaker to offer Spotify's dedicated in-car app, co-developed with Volkswagen's Cariad. It mirrors the desktop layout and adds music videos, real-time lyrics, Spotify Jam and DJ, including on the passenger screen. The app is free in the Audi Application Store and requires a Spotify account.

• The app was built by Spotify and Cariad instead of Android Automotive templates
• Passenger screens support music videos, lyrics and QR codes for listening parties
• Video and lyrics are blocked on the central display while the car is moving
• Music is controlled via the «Hey Audi» voice assistant
