Etsy bans AI-generated recipes and patterns from its marketplace

Etsy has banned the sale of AI-generated "functional guides," including patterns, cooking recipes and instructions. Sellers must show a real item made from the instructions and include at least one unedited photo, and bot-generated listings without human involvement are barred. Etsy said AI content is a top-three barrier to shoppers buying more often on the platform.
