Spotify confirms QR-code verification for Family Plan

Spotify confirmed during its Q3 earnings call that it is tightening Family Plan checks: members must scan a QR code shown on the plan manager's phone to prove they live together. They have seven days to verify; missing the window blocks joining another Family or Duo plan for 12 months. Co-CEO Alex Norström called it a "routine improvement" rather than a crackdown.
