WhatsApp Is Building an Optional In-App Browser for Links on iPhone

WhatsApp is developing an optional built-in browser that would open links from chats inside the app instead of Safari on iPhone. WABetaInfo spotted the feature in a test build, with a new "In-app browser" toggle planned for the Chats settings. No release date has been announced and WhatsApp has not confirmed the plans.

• Links from chats would open inside WhatsApp rather than in Safari

• Browsing data would stay on the device, per WABetaInfo
