Volantis raises $88M for laser data links between AI and memory chips
San Francisco-based semiconductor startup Volantis has raised $88 million in venture capital. The company uses vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs), the same technology behind iPhone Face ID, to transmit data between AI and memory chips.
