WhatsApp drops support for older Android and iPhone models

WhatsApp has rolled out a server-side block on devices running outdated software, requiring at least Android 6.0 or iOS 15.5. Users cannot dismiss the full-screen warning and lose access until they update the OS or move to a supported device.

• Minimum requirements: Android 6.0 Marshmallow and iOS 15.5
• Server-side block cannot be dismissed or bypassed
• Reason is the lack of security patches on old OS versions
• Older Galaxy phones and iPhones without updates affected
