Employers pay premium for AI fluency in tech hiring

Robert Half's 2027 salary guide found 72% of employers are raising pay for AI skills, with 42% paying more for AI expertise than other technical skills. More than half of the 625,633 active US IT listings in September required AI skills. AI engineer salaries will range from $154,500 to $196,750 in 2027.
