US tech jobs fall in September as costs and instability bite

CompTIA reported 10,350 tech-sector jobs lost in September, down from 14,700 in August, while tech employment across all industries fell by about 6,000 after an 86,000 gain the prior month. Tech unemployment rose to 3.3%, and companies announced 10,799 job cuts, up 77% from August.
