UPI in September: transactions fall to 24.07 billion, average ticket drops to Rs 1,012

NPCI reported 24.07 billion UPI transactions worth Rs 29.37 lakh crore in September, down 1.8% in volume and 1.5% in value month-on-month but up 22.5% and 17.8% year-on-year. The average transaction size fell to Rs 1,012 from Rs 1,217 in August. A 0.4% MDR applies to some P2M payments above Rs 2,000 from October 15.
