Quantinuum reports 99.9995% logical memory fidelity on Helios
Quantinuum reported 99.9995% logical memory fidelity per error-correction cycle on its trapped-ion Helios computer, equivalent to about five logical failures per million cycles. The result is a tenfold improvement over its previous record and moves the company closer to the target range for its Apollo fault-tolerant system planned for 2029.
- 99.9995% fidelity per cycle equals about five logical failures per million
- Result is a tenfold improvement over Quantinuum's previous record
- Distance-7 code protected one logical qubit using 73 physical qubits
- Neural decoders ran offline with inference times in hundreds of microseconds
