Vietnam hands over digital ID technology to Laos

Vietnam has shared its population management and citizen identification technology with Laos. The countries plan to link Vietnam's VNeID with Laos' LAeID and Singapore's SingPass, starting with airport pilots. Laos has issued over 400,000 electronic citizen ID cards to nationals aged 15 and above.
