Ethiopia opens developer sandbox for Fayda digital ID integration

Ethiopia's National ID Program, now re-established as Faydaverse Digital Solutions, launched a public sandbox for the Fayda digital ID, letting developers and startups test authentication APIs before going live. The portal offers API references, eSignet OpenID Connect guidance and code examples. As of October 9, Fayda had 52 million registrations, 150 integrated partners and over 208 million eKYC verifications.
