Microsoft's WSL containers hit GA, taking on Docker Desktop on Windows
Microsoft's WSL containers reached general availability on September 29: the built-in wslc command builds and runs Linux containers from PowerShell without Docker Desktop. It supports OCI images including Docker Hub, Windows folder mounts, port publishing and GPU access.
