L3Harris to Build Telescopes for ESA's LISA Mission
NASA awarded L3Harris a contract to build all-glass telescopes for ESA's Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) mission, set to launch in the mid-2030s. Each of the three spacecraft will carry two L3Harris telescopes for transmitting and receiving precision laser beams, and a full-scale prototype has already been manufactured.
- LISA will be the first gravitational wave detector in space
- The mission uses three spacecraft, each with two L3Harris telescopes
