UK ICO Secures Data Protection Commitments From OpenAI, Google, Microsoft and Seven Other AI Developers
The UK's ICO said ten major AI developers, including OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Anthropic, Apple, Cohere, DeepSeek, Meta and Stability AI, have changed or committed to changing how they handle personal data after a compliance review. The regulator also opened a six-week call for evidence on autonomous AI agents, with responses due by November 20.
