EU bets on open source to secure digital sovereignty
At the Open Source Summit Europe, Linux Foundation speakers said digital sovereignty has become a strategic priority for the EU, with open source seen as the route to it. The European Commission estimates €2 billion in open-source investment over seven years and €200 billion for data-center expansion by 2036.
