EU launches DIQAM project to qualify 3D-printed space components
The European Space Agency (ESA) has kicked off DIQAM, a 12-month digital qualification framework for additively manufactured space components. Software provider amsight will lead the project, with partners including ArianeGroup, Fraunhofer IAPT, APWORKS and ISPTech. The effort targets a Phase Change Material container for the Ariane 6 rocket and a propellant tank for a CubeSat.
