Bluesky applies for its own .bsky top-level domain

Bluesky has applied to ICANN to make .bsky an internet domain suffix, which would let users replace handles like @sarahp.bsky.social with shorter names such as sarahp.bsky. Applications will be published on October 7, 2026, and the process takes 18–24 months; the company says it won't sell or monetize the domains.
