Megawatt nuclear battery picked for second DOME microreactor test
The US Department of Energy selected Houston startup Deployable Energy to test its 1 MWe Nuclear Unity Battery microreactor at the DOME facility in Idaho in 2027. It is only the second company granted access to the testbed, following Radiant's inaugural run. The campaign is fully self-funded.
