Azure outage disrupts ExpressRoute, VPN and VMware services
On September 30, 2026, Microsoft paused infrastructure servicing after an incident hit ExpressRoute Gateway, VPN Gateway and Azure VMware Service across 18 Azure regions. Some VPN gateways lost redundancy, and management components failed to recover automatically.
