Azure East US outage takes down ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Copilot for 90 minutes

On September 3 an Azure East US outage disrupted ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Copilot for about 90 minutes. Downdetector logged over 66,000 complaints, including 37,000+ for ChatGPT, 1,300+ for Claude and 1,365 for Grok. Gemini stayed up on Google's own infrastructure.
