AWS cannot restore cloud regions in Bahrain and UAE after strikes

AWS said it cannot restore access to its cloud region in Bahrain and one of three data-hosting zones in the UAE after damage during the Iran war. The damage spanned multiple availability zones and exceeded the resilience its regional and multi-AZ services were designed for. A UAE restoration update is expected in the coming months, with Bahrain not until early 2027.
