Experimental drug K-9 reverses paralysis and vision loss in MS-like disease in mice

The experimental drug Kamuvudine K-9 restored lost movement and vision in mice with a multiple sclerosis-like disease while preserving myelin and nerve fibers. An analysis of insurance data from over 3 million people linked NRTIs, the drugs K-9 derives from, to a 41% lower risk of developing MS and a 36% lower annual relapse rate.
