Daejeon pitches open fab as US$1.46 billion fix for Korea's 300mm research gap

Daejeon is seeking to build an open semiconductor fab for roughly KRW2 trillion (about US$1.46 billion) to close South Korea's 300mm research infrastructure gap. The plan builds on the National NanoFab Center (NNFC) in the city.
