Google strikes nuclear power upgrade deal to add 96 MW to Georgia grid

Google has agreed with Georgia Power to boost output from four older reactors at the Hatch and Vogtle nuclear plants, adding about 96 MW of zero-carbon capacity. Google will fund the upgrades through the NU-1 subscription tariff in exchange for clean energy credits, pending regulatory approval.
