Tesla and Sunrun dispatch record 580 MW from home batteries to California grid

On September 9, Sunrun and Tesla pushed a record 580 MW from more than 140,000 home batteries onto California's grid, the largest residential distributed power plant event on record. About 110,000 of the units were Tesla Powerwalls, delivering 517 MW, while other batteries added 63 MW.
