Google Messages rolls out new long-press menu with precise copying

Google is widely rolling out a new long-press menu in Messages conversations, replacing the top toolbar. The floating menu includes Remix, Reply, Forward, Copy, Star, Delete, Select more, Info and Save, while Copy now lets you highlight part of a message.

• Menu appears on long-press of a message or photo
• Copy lets you select part of the text, not the whole message
• Rollout is live in stable version 20260910_03_RC02
• There is a server-side component; Force stop may be needed
