Microsoft and OEMs quietly drop Copilot+ PC branding

Microsoft and PC makers are phasing out the Copilot+ PC brand from product names and marketing. 2026 Surface devices no longer carry the label, though they still meet the 45 TOPS NPU requirement. The rocky launch and insecure Recall feature tarnished the category.
