Honeywell offers F-35 a 40-kilowatt P40 cooling upgrade

Honeywell Aerospace has introduced the P40 upgrade for the F-35, boosting the cooling capacity of its power and thermal management system (PTMS) by 25%, from about 32 to 40 kilowatts, without structural changes. The upgrade relies on software and liquid-cooling improvements and is targeted for fielding in 2029–2030.
