VLC 3.0.24 patches over 130 security flaws, upgrades to FFmpeg 8.1.2

VideoLAN released VLC 3.0.24 on Sept. 22, the 25th build of the Vetinari branch, fixing more than 130 security issues and upgrading the bundled FFmpeg engine from 4.4 to 8.1.2. The update adds APV and ATRAC3/ATRAC9 decoding, ED25519 SFTP key authentication and better subtitle language detection.

• Adds APV video and ATRAC3/ATRAC9 audio decoding from MiniDisc era
