Framatome to supply first US commercial reactor fuel enriched above 5%

Framatome has signed the first commercial deal to supply fuel with uranium-235 enrichment above the standard 5% threshold to an operating US reactor. Deliveries begin in spring 2028 from its Richland plant, extending the operating cycle from 18 to 24 months.
